New Strategies to Break the Limitations of Non-extraction Treatment
Date
April 23, 2023
For expanding the boundaries of non-extraction treatment, molar distalization is one of the most important key factors for successful outcome. However, many clinicians have had trials and errors in distalization of dentition especially surrouding predictability of distalization, effectiveness of the distalization method, and stability of the results. There are also several studies on long-term evaluation of the maxillary and mandibular molars at post-treatment in adolescents, and treatment stability. In addition, our scientific data will include the cases with severe overjet of average 8.1 mm and arch length discrepancy average 12.4mm before successful treatment by efficient molar distalization without extraction. In addition, the presentation will also discuss clinical pearls, new strategies including biomechanic of molar distalization, and how to control anterior torque and mandibular dentition.
Learning Objectives
Recognize the indication for molar distalization.
Understand biomechanical consideration in non-extraction treatment.
Expand the boundaries of non-extraction treatment.
