The purpose of this session is to teach orthodontists and dentists how to diagnose and treatment plan multidisciplinary cases involving pulp pathology and different trauma cases: from most mild to most severe trauma cases with dentoalveolar fractures. How and when to move the teeth involved in a safe, predictable way; which appliance is best depending on the case? How long should we wait?

Learning Objectives

  • Prevent pulp pathology during our orthodontic treatment.
  • Learn the best timing to move teeth after different trauma scenarios: mild, if tissues around these teeth are not involved; moderate after different tooth fractures (involving root and crown); severe (when bone and teeth are involved).
  • Identify the best type of appliance to move teeth with pulp pathology and after different trauma cases.
