Post-treatment stability is one of the most important and desirable goals of orthodontic treatment. This lecture will critically review the changes that occur during and after with various forms of Class II treatment. Emphasis will be placed on distinguishing the treatment and growth changes that occur. The literature will be reviewed to highlight the role that patients' growth patterns play in determining treatment outcomes and long-term stability.
