The Clinical Assistant’s Role in Clear Aligner Therapy
Date
May 5, 2024
Like all procedures and techniques performed in orthodontic practices, it is often the assistants who provide the bulk of the hands-on procedures needed for successful treatment with clear aligners. In clear aligner treatment, it is primarily the doctor’s job to plan the treatment, monitor progress, and make changes in treatment when needed. But it is the assistants who make it happen. In addition, assistants are the ones who most often interact with the patient when it comes to instructions, motivation, problems, and feedback throughout the patient experience. In this presentation, Dr. Depew will provide you with a clear understanding of what your responsibilities are in this process and what you can do to make it easier and a more pleasant experience for your patients, your doctor, and yourself.
