Since 2007, Dr. Kim has spoken about the TAD technique in the AAO, especially for the open bite treatment. The method includes one mid-palatal mini-implant or two maxillary buccal implants. Sometimes, the lower molar intrusion was applied with the two buccal implants. Most of the cases presented were treated without events. However, doctors who treat open bites for the first time or who meet complex cases tend to become embarrassed when facing unexpected problems.
