During the pandemic many people had to learn to adapt to a "New Norm" to get their work done. Whether it was working from home, webex meetings, or zoom lectures and class rooms, at some point the world started to resume daily life albeit slightly changed and different. Orthodontics was affected along with all of healthcare. As front line workers, not only did we have to slow our offices down for the safety of our patients, we learned to utilize digital technology to see our patients virtually. We learned that it was not only safer, it was convenient. By utilizing a patients cell phone to monitor their progress, the patients participated due to the novelty of the process, but thought that the process was very effective. Ultimately the technology reduced the number of visits that was required to complete a case, while ensuring that the patient care was under control.

The speaker will demonstrate how we have used the Grin teledentistry app to manage all of our cases that are in comprehensive orthodontic care. In addition he will show how he has modified our approach with observation and new virtual patients to attract the younger more tech savvy generations such as millenials and Z generations.
