Session 1: RECORDS

Orthodontic records are a collection of diagnostic records, x-rays, photos and films that orthodontists keep for all patients. They provide a detailed picture of oral health status, including tooth position, tooth health, gum health, and the relationship between teeth and jaws.

Session 2: BRACKET & WIRES

In this quick introductory lesson, you will learn about the unique characteristics of bands, brackets and wires. You review the different type of brackets including pros and cons, learn about three types of wires, briefly discuss bands, and learn the stages in orthodontic treatment.

Session 3: BONDING & BANDING

In this quick introductory lesson, you will learn about spacers, bands, timing and bonding in various stages in orthodontic treatment.

Session 4: Commonly Used Instruments in Orthodontics & Retention

In this quick introductory lesson, you will learn about spacers, bands, timing and bonding in various stages in orthodontic treatment

Session 5: FINAL REVIEW

In this final session, you will learn about the various tools and basics on various orthodontic types, such as class I, II and III treatment.

This course provides valuable tips on preventing corrosion, handpiece cleaning & sterilization, and how to sterilize plastic patient care items, Photo Mirrors and Retractors.

Instrument sterilization is a complex process. Sterilization errors can damage instruments and equipment plus cost the practice time and money. Attendees will learn tips and techniques for the entire instrument process from clean to packaged to sterile.
