The AAO and AAOMS team up to present Dr. Flavio Uribe and Dr. David Shafer to discuss Current Applications and Approaches to the Surgery First Technique (1.25 CE). The surgery first approach started to gain interest in both the surgical and orthodontic communities approximately 10 years ago. Since then, the technique has evolved and been applied to almost every type of dentofacial deformity. Additionally, the orthodontic appliances have also changed to currently involve clear aligners as an option. This lecture will describe the current applications and approaches used in this technique with the pertinent sequencing.
