3D printer technology is now commonplace. The addition of additive manufacturing within the orthodontic practice can reduce the expense of providing aligner treatment as well as reduce turn around times for aligner delivery. Being able to provide immediate response to tracking issues as well as patients with a moving target greatly improves the overall patient experience.
Learning Objectives:
Understand additive manufacturing (3D printing).
Evaluate the requirements for beginning 3D printing in your office.
Outline the benefits and shortcomings of in-office aligner production.
