I often wish that I could go back in time 20 years ago and speak to younger self in dental school. Looking back, I have made so many mistakes on my orthodontic journey. In this very personal lecture, I will discuss my many behavioral and clinical mistakes. I will also review common mistakes that we all make every day in our practice, as well as touch upon current trends in orthodontics that could lead to clinical error. This lecture, intended for orthodontists and staff, is ultimately about self-reflection and improvement. The first step is to take professional accountability.
Learning Objectives:
Learn the importance of self-reflection in order to improve.
Review common clinical error we make as orthodontists and staff.
Commit yourself to becoming better by setting a single goal every year.
