More and more patients - especially adults - are offered complex multidisciplinary treatment. Is such complicated, repetitive long term therapy always necessary? Where is the boundary between correct treatment and "overtreatment"? During the lecture the management algorithms in patients with hypodontia, tissue defects will be presented as well as changes, which can be achieved in macro and micro aesthetics with a special emphasis on orthodontic, periodontal, implantological and prosthetic treatment.

Recognize the risk factors in implantation in the esthetic zone.
Propose the correct treatment plan before prosthetic treatment.
Evaluate which cases need complex interdisciplinary treatment and in which cases surgical or prosthetic treatment should be avoided.
