Can we obtain skeletal expansion to treat maxillary transverse discrepancy after pubertal growth spurt? With the advent of temporary skeletal anchorage device (TADs) such as mini-implants and miniplates, can we increase the scope of treatment with skeletally matured patients? The speaker will review the traditional approach for maxillary expansion and introduce the Micro-implant Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion (MARPE) appliance.

2.) Discuss new possibilities in treatment of patients with maxillary transverse deficiency with Micro-implant Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion (MARPE) appliance.
