Dr Peter Miles received his dental degree from the University of Queensland in Australia, his Masters degree in orthodontics from the University of Pittsburgh in the USA. He is a visiting lecturer at Seton Hill University in the USA and was a Senior Lecturer in orthodontics at the University of Queensland for over 10 years. He is a reviewer for several journals including the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, the European Journal of Orthodontics and is on the editorial board of the Angle Orthodontist. Peter has over 50 publications involving clinical trials relating to treatment efficiency. He is one of the editors of the book ‘Evidence Based Clinical Orthodontics’ and author of ‘Rigid and Non-rigid Fixed Class II Correctors’ in the book ‘Functional Appliances: Theory and Practice’. In 2018, he was awarded the prestigious Raymond Begg Research Award by the Australian Society of Orthodontists. Peter is in specialist orthodontic practice in Caloundra, where he lives with his family, enjoys kite surfing along with incessant whistling and annoying his patients and staff with 80’s music trivia.
