Dr. Rossouw has been associated with academic and clinical orthodontics in various capacities over the last thirty-two years. He has served as a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa; the Discipline of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada; the Department of Orthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry, Dallas, Texas, USA; Professor and Chairman of the Department of Orthodontics, University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA and is presently Professor and Chairman of the Division of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, NY. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, has served as Director of the Burlington Growth Center at the University of Toronto and is American Board Certified. Dr. Rossouw has contributed more than 130 publications to the dental literature, which include scientific articles, chapters in books and abstracts. Dr. Rossouw has lectured nationally and internationally. He is a member of many associations and societies, amongst them the well-respected Tweed Foundation, where he has served as clinical instructor. He serves on the reviewing panels for various orthodontic and general dentistry journals. He maintains a part-time clinical practice.
