Dr. Cristina Teixeira is Associate Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at New York University College of Dentistry. She graduated from University of Pennsylvania where she obtained a DMD degree, Certificate of Orthodontics, a Masters in Oral Biology, and a Ph.D. in Developmental Biology. Dr. Teixeira’s research on bone growth and development has received support from the NIH and different international research foundations. Dr. Teixeira has received numerous awards and recognitions, has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, served as mentor to many graduate and undergraduate students, and presented her work at national and international conferences. She is a founding member of the Consortium for Translational Orthodontic Research, and has a private practice dedicated to Orthodontics in Hoboken, NJ.
