Dr. Stanley Yung-Chuan Liu MD, DDS, FACS

As an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Stanford, Dr. Stanley Liu's clinical and academic focus has been to advance the surgical management of patients with obstructive sleep apnea. He began his interest in sleep and neuroscience at Stanford as an undergrad. He completed his dental, medical, general surgery, and oral surgery training at UCSF. During this stretch, he completed a year as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) scholar at the NIH. After completing a fellowship in sleep apnea surgery at Stanford with the Department of Otolaryngology (ENT), he began his academic career. Currently, he serves as the director of the sleep surgery fellowship, with additional affiliations with the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Stanford Biodesign Faculty Fellowship.
