While their responsibilities may be vastly different, Treatment Coordinators and Financial Coordinators both have a direct impact on cash flow in the practice. The Treatment Coordinator is often described as the face of the practice and salesperson, whereas the Financial Coordinator works behind the scenes as the “money person”. In the big picture, however, their job descriptions are intertwined and their goals should be more aligned. If each can understand their role, they can begin to orchestrate the flow of money and learn how to positively affect each other’s performance to positively impact case acceptance and cash flow.
