The Effectiveness & Efficiency of Clear Aligner Therapy: An Evidence-based Approach

Patient centered treatment and customized patient care are common treatment philosophies in the modern orthodontic practice. This presentation will focus on how these concepts began especially from the patient perspective and describe how the profession has had to adapt to accommodate the consumer expectation. It will describe how aligner treatment has created new workflows and clinical adaptations to aligner treatment. Clinicians will understand the “tool box” of technologies that support the aligner practice. Clinicians rely on evidence-based data to support Orthodontic treatment. This presentation explores the current information available to the clinician in supporting aligner therapy in a practice. Areas of focus include diagnosing patients, treatment planning and actual orthodontic biomechanics. A critical analysis of space closure mechanics will also be presented.
