2019 Webinar - Five Ways to Rate Your CPA's Effectiveness

2019 Webinar - Five Ways to Rate Your CPA's Effectiveness

Credits: None available.

Although most orthodontists utilize the services of a CPA, few are truly satisfied with the results they receive. However, it can be challenging to measure the success of a professional with limited knowledge on the services they provide. In this webinar, we will discuss the five subject areas in which all CPAs should be involved, and how to objectively and subjectively measure their performance to determine if you are getting your money's worth. We will review the type of financial advice you should receive, how an accountant should formulate financial statements to provide useful information, assisting with internal controls within the company to prevent theft, and a variety of other topics that distinguish the difference between average and great CPAs.

Course objectives include:

  • List the services that should be provided by your CPA on an annual basis above and beyond your income tax returns;
  • Explain the financial statements a CPA should provide, and how to determine their usefulness;
  • List examples of the types of internal controls your CPA should be monitoring; and
  • Describe the type of tax planning that you should expect from your CPA.
