Isao Saito DDS, PhD

Dr. Isao Saito has served as Professor and Chairman, Division of Orthodontics, Niigata University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences since 2004. He completed his postgraduate program in 1988 (PhD, Niigata University). He obtained the certificates of Accredited Orthodontist and Orthodontic Instructor in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He serves on a board of directors of the Japanese Orthodontic Society (2008-present) and has also become one of the executive directors since 2012. He was Editor-in-Chief, Orthodontic Waves (The official journal of the Japanese Orthodontic Society) from 2008 to 2012. He has been invited to international conferences and/or meetings as a guest speaker many times. He has been interested in functional aspects in patients with malocclusion and/or imbalanced morphology including orthognathic patients.
