Jay F. Garvey BS, M.Ed
John (Jay) Garvey is in his 13th year at the Milton Hershey School where he currently serves as Coordinator of Family Relations and New Student Transitions. Jay has over 25 years with students and their families as a residential caseworker, teacher, guidance counselor, and administrator in both public and private educational settings. Jay has developed and delivered workshops on: Homesickness, Engaging Families in Student Success, and How Parents can Best Support their Students in a Residential School. Jay has BS in Secondary Education from Old Dominion University, and a M.Ed in Counseling and Development from George Mason University. Additionally, Jay has completed graduate course work in Community Agency Counseling as well as Educational Administration.
