Melanie Wang, DDS, MS is a board-certified orthodontist with offices in San Diego and Rancho Santa Fe. She graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a degree in biology and a minor in teaching, earned her general dentistry degree at UCLA School of Dentistry and completed her orthodontic specialty training at St. Louis University under the guidance of Dr. Rolf Behrents. Her thesis “Mandibular Rotation and Remodeling Changes during Early Childhood” was published in Angle Orthodontist (2009). Dr. Wang is a Scientific Advisor for KLOwen Braces. She has a heart for helping and is especially gifted at working to ease patient anxiety, creating a welcoming practice and treating special needs patients.
She is married to Jimmy Wang, DDS. She is active classroom volunteer at her children’s schools. When not providing patient care, you can find the Wangs doing jujitsu, training for a race, or relaxing at the beach.
