Dr. Renato Parsekian Martins DDS, MS, PhD

Dr. Renato Parsekian Martins, based in Brazil, enjoys a fulfilling life with his wife and two daughters. During his childhood, he spent two years in Plano, Texas, under the guidance of his parents, who were both orthodontists and educators. He earned his dental and orthodontic degrees at the University of the State of Sao Paulo and furthered his academic journey with a Postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Dentistry (Texas A&M School of Dentistry), collaborating closely with Dr. Peter Buschang for nearly one and a half years. For 11 years, Dr. Martins served as an adjunct pro bono professor at the University of Sao Paulo's Orthodontic program. Currently, he operates his orthodontic practice in the city of Araraquara, Brazil. His dedication to sharing knowledge extends to lecturing extensively for orthodontists across Latin America. Notably, he has been a featured speaker at the last six national Brazilian orthodontic meetings and at the 2017 and 2023 AAO (American Association of Orthodontists) Annual sessions. In addition to these roles, Dr. Martins serves as the Associate Editor for two prestigious Brazilian orthodontics journals, the Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics and the Revista ClĂ­nica de Ortodontia Dental Press (Clinical Orthodontics), where he regularly contributes insightful articles on biomechanical insights in nearly every issue.
