Dr. Renato Parsekian Martins DDS, MS, PhD
Dr. Renato Martins resides in Araraquara, Brazil, enjoying a fulfilling family life with his wife and two daughters. He earned his DDS, MS, and PhD from the University of the State of Sao Paulo in Araraquara before pursuing an 18-month Post Doc at Baylor, collaborating closely with Dr. Peter Buschang. Bringing extensive teaching experience, Dr. Martins dedicated 11 years as a pro bono adjunct professor to the Orthodontics Program at Araraquara. Currently, he exclusively manages his orthodontic practice in the city and is renowned for his extensive lecturing across Latin America, presenting at the past six national Brazilian orthodontic meetings and the AAO in both 2017, 2023 and 2024. His main research interests are in biomechanics in both fixed appliances and aligners. Additionally, Dr. Martins serves as the associate editor at two prestigious Brazilian orthodontic journals, the Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics and the Revista Clinica de Ortodontia Dental Press (Clinical Orthodontics), contributing prolifically, especially on biomechanics pearls. He also actively contributes as a member of the clinical advisory board for the Journal Clinical Orthodontics.
